Hi everyone,

Re: Vin # 30837S111528

Looking for some history on my '63 SWC red/red, that I purchased in 2025. I've lots of restoration info that was done by the person who sold it to me.

That said, he bought it from a collection in South Carolina in 2023. The person he purchased the car from had inherited a collection from an elderly friend. A family member was the executor of the estate and contested the fact that the deceased left the cars to a friend and not a family member. The court ruled in favor of the friend, but the files on the cars in the collection were apparently misplaced or destroyed by the unhappy executor.

I ran a Vin search and found that the car had previously been registered in VA, PA, SC and now Massachusetts (me). The car went down the St. Louis production line on March 27th, 1963.

Would appreciate any further information Vette Registry members may have.

Thanks,

Doug

All I can find is that you bought it on BaT. Nice car. Maybe you can appeal to the family of the guy that died and get the history of the car.

Thanks The person who bought it from the guy in South Carolina tried to get the file, but the seller said it was gone....Unfortunately, not to be found.
