Looks like one of Eckler's conversion kits.  He'll buy your stock pop ups if you want his conversion.  The plexiglass covers are sold separately.  Personally, I like my pop-ups.

Personally, I could never understand why GM would ruin what surprisingly little aerodynamicity the Corvette had by having pop-up headlights! While I don't particularly like the look of this modification, with the plexiglas covers, it does make more sense.
I can't imagine that if they thought hard enough, they couldn't have come up with a solution that would retain the smooth, "swoopy" look even at night!Ermm

I agree with the group - Monza look isn't for me.
I did see a 77 that had the headlights set in the grills - and covered with a "black-out" plexiglass covers . That looked alright- but I still like the original look

My 70 LT1 came with the Monza lights.  That was the first thing I corrected.  They didn't shine on the road at all, and I didn't like the look.  Now it has been sitting for nine years with primer on the repairs, and no one restoring the rest of it.  I think it in the top four on my list of cars to finish.

Well someone liked that look and figured they could make some money selling the conversion kits for it...and appears they did.  I'm with the others...just don't seem right that way.

I am night blind so those wouldn't work for me unless I used fog lights also.
I was just talking about those lights the other day to another Vette owner at work.  I always thought the main reason people put those on a car was because the original flip up lights quit working and they just were trying to save money.

Gotta go with the group. They look fine, I just prefer the stock look. I've seen a few of them in shows and the kits are pretty common. I'd sure like to increase the brightness of my headlights but I don't want to give up the original appearance. Could change my mind when mine need rebuilding $$$

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
If they had glass covers like the C6 and lit the road up I could see them.  But not with the wholes like the picture.
