Vette(s): 75 white on tan, t-top, 4 speed soon to be 75 bright blue on tan

Another question that I had is that I know the first 4 of the vin in the 60's is the code for coupe or vert ex. 1943=coupes and 1946=verts.  My question is the next two numbers before the "S" in the vin, is that the engine code number?

Thanks again

Mike

Don't think the engine code was included in the VIN until the early 70s.  The 6th number is the year. Go up to "tools" and check out the VIN decoder. Mike

Thanks for the quick reply.  I have been into vettes for a long time, but since I started my auto broker business I have to get better at decoding them especially when the two cars I'm dealing with do not have a lot of documentation to go along with them.  I have used the decoder as it is a good tool.
thanks again
Mike
