Hey Gang!

A few weeks ago Patty spied an ad in the Saturday paper for a car that she had really fallen for years ago.  We were at a favorite Corvette show of ours and while wandering around we came upon a bright red ZR-1 with red leather interior.  I don't recall what year the car was, but with a ZR-1 it really doesn't matter does it?  Anyway, she REALLY liked that car and has never forgotten it.

So when she saw the ad in the paper she said that we should go look at it.  You know me, I'm never going to turn down an opportunity to get a close-up look at a legend!

The car is a 1990 (1st year of the Zs) with just over 7,500 miles on the odometer and as you can imagine it was STUNNING...!!!  No way could I imagine something like that ending up in OUR garage.  Well, a couple of weeks later (with several sleep deprived nights thrown in for good measure) "The Beast" (my nickname for it) is parked next to "The Toy".  Still can't believe it...!!!

Here's a few pics of "The Toys"  (all are clickable for larger versions)

(had to add a look at "The Heart of The Beast")

A vanity plate will be ordered in December when the current plates expire.  Patty has suggested "YFSVETT".  Anyone care to translate that?  (I KNOW the answer btw)

He is, LOL  this man has almost had a heart attack and three breakdowns trying to decide to buy this car..

It si expensive to maintian two of these  but its well worth it when you walk out in that garage and see them sitting there together. I keep the radio on for mine just to make sure they stay happy

Congratulations...ZR-1's are fabulous cars, though I'm not a big fan of C4's. Maintenance and repairs can kill ya on it, though. It's a very specialized car...the engine, everything about it is different and expensive to keep up with.

Take good care of it and best of luck!
