I've pretty much beaten all the electrical gremlins now but I need to change the top belt.
How do I release the tensioner pulley? I've been reading and it tells me to use a 15mm wrench. My question am I removing the wheel or just using it to levarage the tension?
Thx

If it like other GM's I have worked on, you are just relieving the tension to release the belt.

If it is a spring-loaded tensioner, you should be able to relieve the tension and remove the belt.
Just be careful nothing slips.

P
Release the tension by pushing the pulley to the right (if it's like my LS1). No need to remove the pulley assembly.

Man, it's sure easy once it's 'splained to ya. Took about 10 minutes, most of that was looking for an extension cord for the drop light since my spouse stole them all for Christmas lights !

Where is your LED headlamp?
That gives you light where ever you look and it's hands free.
