Does anyone know the procedure sequence to disable the traction control? The button just shuts it off until the wheels slip and it engages again. The car is a 2002 and I know traction control can be shut off in other cars. We have a chance to drive our car on a race course and we want to experience the drive without traction control.

In my C6 I just push the button once and the traction control is off, I push it again and the car goes into competition mode with the traction control on. Trust me the car is a better driver than you are, leave it on and you will have better times. That is if your name is not Mario.

Press and hold is what I think you want. But if you want to play it a little safer to start with, put it in competitive mode....after that, if you want turn it off. That little step may save you and the car if you've never done this before...FWIW
