Vette(s): My wife and I own 2 1973's, both yellow. The coupe is a 4spd, the ragtop is auto. My car, the 4spd coupe has a personal plate w/ "Help Me". My wife's car the auto ragtop has as a personal plate "Ronda". We are members of the Fort Wayne Corvette Club.
Does anyone know for sure what year that C3 is in that Budwiser commercial? I have viewed the video of the spot and have concluded that the C3 is Dale Jr's own 73 with personal plate: "8". RJ

I've been trying to figure that out myself for a few weeks now. It has to be 1970 or newer because it has fender flares and no gills. It can't be newer than '74 because it has chrome rear bumpers. I'm not sure about the front bumper though which may tell us if it is a '73. I was thinking the seat back might provide a clue though. Or maybe the markings on the speedo or tach.
I'm going to tape the next NASCAR race just to get that commercial on tape so I can check it out on slo mo.

It looks to me like it has a 73 nose. Jr does own a 73 vette.

It is Jr. own Corvette..He also have a Red C5.
