I had heard rumors that this was going to be produced, now GM has
made it official. Does anyone know anything more about this blue-devil
animal?

Corvette is figuring out how to get 600 hp to the ground in such a way
that it can be handled by a driver with the money to buy the car.
Wallace said GM is considering requiring that Blue Devil—and even Z06—
buyers attend a driver school as part of the price of admission."

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
At a price of $100,000 I hope the driving school is free.

I can make a car handle better than most. Not my opinion, but a driver trainer who teaches many types of driving. But I would LOVE to attend a class like that, even in my own car.

Humm, that open a can of worms...
I don't know about the other states (or even town), but here in Tampa, I would suggest that everybody (no exceptions) go back to training & testing every two years.
And nothing advanced; simple stuff like
-when it's yellow and you have enough distance; stop. When it's red; definitely stop; because guess what; it's green on the other side.
-when it's green; go!
-you pass on the LEFT
-if not passing; stay on the right (no other left)
-use your signals
-when it's green; go!
-rear view mirror is NOT for make-up
-when it's green; go!
-you paid for 3 mirrors; use 'em
-do not read while driving
-HANG UP THAT DARN CELLPHONE
and finally;
-when it's green; go!
I think that's what GM would want. If too many people don't respect the rules above; I too, would be nervous about putting a street 600hp car in the hands of anybody that has 100k.

Amen to that! I'm not sure what this new generation is learning in Driver's
Ed class, but I'm pretty sure it's not driving. A lane change requires a turn
signal and a glance over, something these boneheads down here haven't
grasped yet. Maythe that list should be sown into every viser of every car
sold!
