Yeah, sounds like he backed off somewhat from of his original plan for the traditional 'Peter Max ' psychedelic paint jobs. They might have looked cool but really trashed some fine, vintage Vettes. Maybe he would trade them for a bunch of VW Bugs and Buses!

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

He's still going to paint them though. What a shame. It's a pretty famous collection - wish he would donate it to the NCM.

Can you imagine what would be involved in getting those 36 Vettes in that shape ready to paint? That in itself would be a major undertaking...and the amount of money it would take! I'm wid you, Joel. At 73 years old, he ain't likely to do anything but let them keep decaying or sell them, which he should do.(sell them, that is)

I got a VW bus I'd trade him for that "53.

I found a thread yesterday on digitalcorvettes (posted 2/13/2010) that they were found again...

Honestly I'm not at all familiar with Peter Max. I guess I should do a search to find out just who he is. The cars are rough... I wish I could rescue every last one of them.

You have to be a member of the Old Farts Club to remember Peter Max from the 60's and 70's. Wow, faaaaar out man. Look at all the colors.

His posters were pretty 'trippy'.
