Woah, I didn't expect a new Vette to fair this poorly when tested. In the MT April 2012 issue they compared a GS against Porsche's new 911 Carrera S. It was cold and rainy, and they said they nearly crashed the Vette repeatedly and that it was downright dangerous. The RWD Porsche pretty much ignored the conditions, in comparison. They also snickered at the Corvette's interior materials (comparing them to old garbage bags), the "Cobalt" steering wheel, the out-of-date navigation and HUD, and the fake carbon fiber on top of fake leather seats. They did like the engine, but called the stick shift tired and jerky-feeling, the steering too light and the ride too stiff. The Porsche easily won the shootout and was "borderline magical" to drive.

I had a sick feeling when I was done reading the article. I didn't think the 72K Vette would beat the 131K Porsche, but I didn't expect the Chevy to get embarrassed.
