I just got a call from the Myrtle Beach Corvette club informing me that I won 3rd place at the show yesterday. I'm really no fan of registered participants judging the cars at shows but that's the way they did it this year. I'm happy that some of them liked yellow but must admit that my favorite color vette is red.

That's better than having the club "judges" vote for their favs.
Congrats.

I agree with that Dave. I think all shows should have independent judges and not members of the club that is sponsoring the show. Depending on the number of cars to be judged and if at all possible, I think the same set of judges should judge all the cars. No 2 different sets of judges will ever judge a car the same.
I really like the NCCC events. They do a "tech" inspection which includes headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, park lights, interior lights, radio, fan blower, license plate light, etc. with points deducted if anything is not in good working order.
Thanks for the compliment guys.
