Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
I don't usually do this, but the June (?) issue of Corvette Magazine arrived today.  There's something for just about everyone in this issue, especially C3 fans:
  • The Handoff - looking at the mid-70s and the changes ahead with a new chief engineer for the Corvette and a new general manager for Chevrolet;
  • The Midyear Alternative - looking at C3s as good buys in the Corvette world;
  • Rebirth of COOL - a walk-thru of rebuilding the Delco A6 air-conditioning compressor;
  • Peer Pressure - following the build up of a basket case '62 into a resto-rod with C4 undrpinnings and a 454ci/425hp GM crate engine;
  • The Intimidator - a write-up about a C5R replica built up in England by a Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan;
  • C6 Supercar - a good look at the Factory Five Racing (FFR) kit car using a Corvette C5 as a donor parts car;
  • Crystal Gazing - a look ahead at the upcoming GT1 racing season for the C6R;
  • and of course, The Market Guide  - this time the C5s (MY 1997-2004)

If it doesn't arrive at your mailbox it is worth a stop at a local magazine shop to pick a copy.

Can't wait to get home to read my copy!!

I noticed yesterday that I have now accumulated enough Hilton points since November to get a free cruise for two (and I am NOT exagerating)!!  Hopefully, I have no more than a month on the road for this project

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Thanks for the "heads up" Jim. That's the only subscription I get anymore, and I still barely find the time to glance through it. I haven't even looked into the last 2 issues I've been so busy Confused. Man, I've just got to adjust my priorities Cry . My 2nd job provides the extra $ for vette parts and such so it's hard to stop working, but lately I find I don't have the time to work on the vettes. Jeese, do I feel helpless Unhappy.

 I think I'll take them up on their free trial issue. I've been subscribing to Vette magazine but it seems like their mostly C5 and C6 oriented. Nothing wrong with that but, I don't have either or much interest in them.longhorn2942008-03-26 15:28:20

   I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...
