I want to upgrade my 350 4 barrel from mechanical to electric pump the data on the pump says 58 psi but the engine data calls out 5'8 psi. Has anyone switched out the pumps

you can do it, but you need to put a pressure regulator in the fuel line before the carb and set fuel press. to about 6psi, may need to play with press. a little so engine runs good, then lock it at that pressure. Make sure regulator will handle the press. limits you will need. I did my '82 and it worked great. good luck, and let me know how you make out.
