The old solid axle cars are a lot bigger that ya might think. John Wayne actually had one...a '53 or '54. Soooo...iffin da DUKE could fit in it, I'm sure you could...
Go for it, Jimmy!! A little soap/water, a little elbow grease, and some wax....shoot, you'd be cruizin in no time....Thumbs Up

the pink slip if it comes with one is worth more than the car, there are two 54's here in town, if it was a 53 skys the limit, when I was 7yrs old I was into models and my dad brought home a model of the new 1953 corvette, the large one, can't remember what ever happened to it. anips2009-07-29 21:50:55

I am kind of a sucker for a project, but even I might have sense enough to stay away from this one.

I think the title of the auction "project car" is an understatement. I took me 8 weeks to find enough time to change a transmission. I dont think I have enough years in me for this one

[QUOTE=Ebay seller]SHIPPING UPDATE! – When you check out there are usually 2 or more shipping options. The one shown ( usually UPS ) is not the one you HAVE to choose, USPS is usually an option on most smaller items. Please take the time to look at your invoice. Where the shipping company and price are listed, a menu will drop down with other shipping options. PLEASE LOOK AT THIS. UPS IS USUALLY 1st ON THE LIST. BUT WE DO SHIP USPS AS WELL.

And...
Due to the increasing cost of packaging materials, items are subject to a $0.50 handling fee. Use this map as a guide for package time in transit. Some shipments will take longer than the map indicates.

Looks like they're gonna stick it in an envelope, and mail it!

Can you imagine the look on the UPS drivers face when he picks this one up. Or better yet, when ya bring the envelope to the post office. Wonder how many stamps it would take.ConfusedShocked
