Vette(s): 1979 Coupe THE DIVA color: BLACK
My ''Love'' affair with the Corvette started waaaayyyy Back in 1969.
My Grade 4 teacher had a red convertible Stingray.
I fell in love with it and promised myself that SOME day I would own one.
Well in 1992, I finally took the plunge!! Been searching for 3 years and looked at ALOT of Corvettes..but never seemed to be the ''right'' one. Found ''Rosie..AKA..The Diva'' and she just ''screamed'' at me. It was ''love at first sight''. KNEW it was the ''right'' Corvette for me.

And as the saying goes..

''The Rest is History''.

We both have gone through a few modifications over the years! |laugh|

Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.
This one's just the opposite. I grew up drooling over my uncle's '69 convert (350/300, auto, Fathom Green, Green int.) I gre up asking for first dibbs on it if he ever decided to sell it, he said he wouldn't ever sell it. Two weeks ago he called to say he was building a new house and wanted to know if I still wanted it. I put my '69 Mach 1 Mustang (428CJ) up for sale on the net, 9 days later there's a '69 Vette in the garage! It needs freshening up, the valve covers have never been off the engine and all the 35 year old gaskets are leaking.

Vette(s): 1975 Stingray Nomad Wagon, with Daytona front, custom hood scoop, dual side vents; 420HP 350; Doug Nash 5 speed; 1980 rear end W/4:11 gears; Cherry Red metallic paint.
I was just 20, and the wife got her first job. She wanted me to get a Vette, knowing that i longed for one for the past 10+ years already, so we agreed to sell my truck and use the $$$ for a down payment.
I found the most beautiful 69 Convert, red with a black interior. I worked out all the financing, and had a buyer for my truck, all that needed to be done was to pickup the funds from the guy.
I dont know if it was the salesman from the chevy shop or the guy i sold the truck to, but one of the two robbed me. Both knew my plans between the two locations. After i left the guy, i stopped at work to pick up my paycheck and off to the dealer. 2 guys pulled behind my truck, robbed me at gun point of the cash from my truck, and were gone. The car was found later (it was stolen), but they never found the guys.
With no down payment, i couldnt afford the Vette. Instead, it took me 22 years to get my Red Vette back. Since then i have learned when to keep my mouth shut.

Back in 1969 I had a chance to buy a 63 Coupe. The price was right, car was right but just before I purchased the car, the owner drove the car into a lake.
When he was done I would have to be a U-Boat Captain to own and drive it..... I lost it to the fishes.... |frown| |frown| |frown| |frown| |frown|
