Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
Did anyone else get this Corvette 50th Anniversary Collection Five Piece 1:64 Die Cast Model Set?

The back says "(C)2003 RC ERCTL, INC." "ITEM #C1041 000 000"
It came with this "Certificate of Authenticity"

I'm wondering if they all say "1 of 10,000" or if I actually happen to get the first one.
Anyone know?
Thanks!

I picked up a five piece set that included a black car hauler rig at a KMart that was shutting down. I don't remember seeing a certificate in the box, I'll have to look when I get back to work on Monday.

After the weekend I had, getting back to work today was actually enjoyable...!!!

I finally remembered to look in the box for a certificate - nothing! The box has a $29.99 price tag on it and I picked it up for under $10.00. Should have grabbed a few more as I've seen bid prices on auctions over $50...!!!

Another missed opportunity!

My bride is out west in Montana on a volunteer project through the American Hiking Society doing trail maintenance in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area so I've been 'head zoo-keeper' on 'The Ranch'. That means caring for her 3 Arabians, the barn cats, the house cats, the puppy dog, tending to her flower gardens, doing all the household chores, ... ('Normal' weekdays have been starting at 4:30 AM and ending anywhere between 10 PM and midnite. Weekend mornings I've been 'sleeping in' until 6:30 AM.)
Then when mowing the lawn on Sunday the mower deck on the tractor kacked with about a 1/4 of the yard cut. Had to finish the job with the 22" mower I usually just use for trimming around trees, bushes, etc. Needless to say I slept like a log Sunday night...!!! (I'm picking up a new mower deck today!)
She doesn't get back until the 21st so I'm just over halfway through. The good news is I haven't killed anything, plant or animal (yet!), and haven't managed to give myself food poisoning (yet!). I now have a much greater appreciation for what she went through several years ago when I was working out of town for 6 months and only getting home every 3rd weekend. She's a great gal and I hope she's enjoying her well deserved break from the normal routine to the max...!!!

Actually it IS payback for my taking the week to go down to Bowling Green for the 50th. What really hurts is that her TWO week vacation will probably end up costing LESS than my one week trip. That's going to be the tougher pill to shallow...!!!
