Meanwhile, owners of classic Corvettes can call their cars the most stolen as well. Hagerty Insurance, which claims it's the biggest insurer of collectible vehicles, says the Corvette is the most-often stolen classic, followed by Chevy's Impala and Bel Air and Camaro, with the Mustang and Thunderbird following behind. Collector cars are most often stolen from the owner's home: Hagerty says some 44.3 percent of thefts occur at private residences. California, Michigan and Florida are the states where your classic car is in the most danger, according to the company's data.
