American Collectors wants $312 for liability, comprehensive, collision and uninsured driver. The agreed upon value is $12,500.
I can drive 2500 miles/yr to events and shows.
Can I do better with some other company?

Maybe your location, age, etc., makes a difference as well.
I would definitely check around.

When I was looking for insurance, the collectors ins. was cheap but there were too many restrictions. I finally went with MetLife, full coverage, insured for $20,000, NO restrictions, $470 yr. In fact, I cancelled Texas Farm Bureau and put my other 3 autos with them too. Well worth the little extra for no restrictions. Tx. Farm Bureau wouldn't even insure a fiberglass car.......EXCUUUUUSE ME!!! BTW, that's for a '71.
I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

I use American Hobbyist Insurance. You have to have a good driving record, but for $241.00 & 30K full coverage ( no DED) with no mileage limit, must be parked in a garage. Had someone run me off the road last year & did $9000.000 damage ...had a check in 3 days & they said if it needed more they'd pay for it. My insurance stayed the same at renewal. I have USAA on the othe vehicles & this insurance is just as good or better.Alan

For those of you military members, USAA offers collector insurance. I am paying $73/year for full coverage w/a 2500 mile per year limit.
Not too shabby!
