Is there a website I can visit to check build dates for C5's? I thought I had a link to Iowa Corvette - which had a lot of decent content.

Yes - I am trying to figure out what date various vehicles were built. I thought I remembered a website ... which took the VIN, then broke it down into various segments, including dates of production.

What you are asking is to break down the sequence number of the last 6 number of the VIN number. This will tell you the month and date of the build. Other usefull information would be on the trim tag. Here is a site that will help you to understand the meaning of the squence numbers.
From what I can see of the Idaho Corvette Club site it has provided you with C5 otions and an option code listing which you will be able to use in conjunction to the VIN and Trim tag numbers.

Yes, I realize Idaho does not give build date (I should have said that) ... but it *is* a neat website. I figured out it was C5Registry that has a Members Only section to look up build dates. I saw something about where the build sheet is stored on a C5 ... but you have to take off the front bumper (starting 98 or 99?). I will check the VIS at a local dealer.
Has anyone else retrieved the actual build sheet from a C5 or C6?
