I had the opportunity to take the toy out this evening when my 7-year-old's friend needed to be returned back home from a play date. I took off the tops & told young Collin to hop in. He stared at me for about 15 seconds then looked behind the front seat in complete confusion. He politely said "I'm sorry Mr. Voves -- I'm not allowed in the front seat because of the airbags -- my mom will get mad so can I climb in the back?" After giving him a quick lesson on the history of airbag technology (or lack thereof) we spent another 5 minutes going over how a 2-piece seat belt works. He was also really surprised to see that such a cool car did not have a cd-player. I'm still chuckling about it (even though it just proves how we're all getting old!)

Cool...!!! You should have seen the look on my (then teenage) daughter a few years ago when I pulled an 8-track recorder/player unit out of the 'attic' and hooked it up to the home stereo system.

I've actually had a time when I needed to bring both of my boys in the vette at the same time. Although my younger one swore he could fit behind the seat, I thought it wiser to squeeze both boys in the passenger seat with one lap belt.

Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
I'm pretty sure I road in the back of my 79 when I was a kid (and my Dad was the owner). I know for a fact my neighbor did. Sometimes he'd give us a lift to school and she was so small, she easily fit in the back.
Now, my dog gets that privelige. My son never will!
