Hey guys,

I don't know if any one here ahs heard of a British show called Top Gear, or 5th Gear. These shows, wow! These guys can really drive. However when they did a review on the C6 I was really dissapointed, they just don't understand.... If you wnat to see it I have it mirrored here:

Lewis,

Your right to some degree about them not getting it, but you also have to remember the brit sense of humor. They think that this is being funny and especially now with world oppinion against us, you can see why they would think that poking fun at the vette is good for their ratings. It's very common for them to poke fun at americans for being crude and rude, etc. I lived there for 3 years and I can tell you that is a common theme. Don't be too hard on them, their just jealous that they aren't a world power anymore

Vette(s): 69 Conv #'s match 427, TKO-600/.64, 3.36HD-Posi, HT, T/T, PS, PB, PW, SP, Leather, Comp XE264HR & Roller Rockers & Lifters, Air-Gap RPM intake, Holley St Av 770 VS, MSD 6AL+Dist+Blaster SS, K&N, Jet-Hot Hooker Side-Pipes, Steeroids, Al Rad, Spal Fans

and to some degree they are correct on some of their points..

in my c5 I was rather surprised by the cheapness of the plastic interior

im sure the c6 is no different.. (our c3's were notorious for their poor quality control overall)

in the head to head race though..  he obviously had problems shifting...  that wasnt a fair race..

also his complaints about leaf springs were dumb..  they obviously work pretty well.

Everything they said was... well.... true.

But the harping on the leaf springs made me laugh.

Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

Whenever I hear people talking about Brits I always recall a line I heard in a movie "No sex for me please, I'm British", not only that, but they have to insult us alot to make up for Austin Powers. lol.

Well, all is fair.... but the sound retarted. After sending them an e-mail, and watching the Vette tribute video that corvetteracer made, I felt a true sense of pride, and passion. Below is the e-mail I sent to the show:

Hey chaps!

Dude, seriously. I live in America I watch the show just about every chance I can find an episode somewhere on the internet. I started watching really heavy, I noticed the 'cool' board. Dude, seriously you need to put the Ford GT in the sub zero category, that car is a true legend in its time, and now in modern times, it is a 'super car' not a piece of crap Citroen. As for the Corvette, I am sadly disappointed. You guys don't understand the American history of the Corvette. If you actually give a crap about cars you might want to watch this http://fattyslims.com/mirrors/videos/MISC/AnAmericanLegend.w mv I am currently restoring a C3 1977 Corvette: http://fattyslims.com/vette/ Sorry dudes, but you are far wrong on thee cars. Also your 'witty' comments on Americans: Sod off yourself; I can't believe you would tell all American's to sod off? WTF?? I may not like one Brit  but that doesn’t mean they are all bad, seriously re-think what you say, sometimes you guys do sound a bit retarded.
