Have you folks received your new Mid America Catalog.
I received mine today and am wondering what my fellow corvetters think about those "Outrageous C6" seats displayed on the cover of their catalog.
The seats are made of Ostrich and Alcantara..(what ever that is?) They are supposed to have this "Outrageous Vette on their website soon but I checked and it's not there yet.
Even though I personally think the seats are slightly too flashy, I'm thinking about something like this for my S.A.. It's dark blue.....so how about blue and silver ""yikes"" or maybe blue and lt. grey.
Whadda y'all think??

I didn't care for them on the cover. I can't say how they would look in a car. I didn't thumb through to check them out but will have to now.
Sometimes I think M.A. goes a lil overboard. Like with the orange & checkerboard theme for the Performance Choice car last year. I like some of the stuff and put some on my C5 but not to that full blown everywhere ya look yer eyes are too busy extreme.

Mid-America does go overboard with their showcars, but I think that's the look they're going for. Those seats are downright ugly IMHO. Alcantara sounds like the "fine Corinthian leather" of the 21st century

When you are selling to a wide spectrum of customers, you have to show stuff on the edge. If they didn't sell it, they wouldn't promote it for long. Some people like to be different.
Maybe even put streaming flag decals on the outside!!!

There you go Dave......
Now there is an intelligent answer. I was somewhat dismayed with the response that I received on this subject.
I am an artist both in my job and my hobby. I can paint you a portrait or a landscape that some will treasure in their homes; others will scoff and laugh.
I can turn clay dirt into beautiful pottery that will adorn patios and entry-ways, but others would use to store rusty nails.
When I visit an art gallery or attend an art show, many of the features I view, I do not care for. That doesn't mean I think that person has "pimped it up",.....to the contrary. I appreciate that person bringing his/her ideas to the for-front and displaying their living personality. It's what makes life exciting.
Dave's design on his "Red Corvette" and the interior design oo the Mid America Cover shows real Americans having passions that run outside of the everyday "mundane red Corvette" !!!!
P.S...I'll bet that cover Corvette is from Texas.
