Ya'll prolly didn't notice(or care), but this car has the early knock-off rims, with the two bar spinners. Normal producion cars had three bar spinners, making the two bar ones REALLY rare. This car was built/raced before any of the 5 Grand Sports were built....it did enjoy and test some of the early development parts that were made for the GS program. I think this may have also been the first Z06 made/sold specifically as a racer....
Lot of historical significance here, ya'll.....

And thank you Joel, for your insight of the small details that some of us miss. (I noticed the two bar spinners but did not realize the significance.) I love stuff like that!

It was awesome to hear from the original driver "The Flying Dentist as part of the show". One point that was made was that additional docutmentation was "dug out" and framed to be provide with the sale.
I find it interesting how many folks have pieces of history salted back.
Sad to think that some of the genuine Chevrolet artifacts that will never be seen or worse yet may be destroyed.
Thanks for posting this! It is a very fine looking piece of history.
Besides that I always wondered where those rear fender flares went to off of my 75 Chevy Van..... Now I know......
