Description
The suspension was updated with QA-1 control arms, strut arms to improve camber travel in the rear, offset trailing arms, power rack and pinion steering, and better sway bars, the original springs remain as (we liked the ride). The drivetrain was updated with a Tremec 5 speed from American Powertrain transmission, rebuilt differential and Mcleod clutch. The engine is a 327 cu. in., with Fuelie small chamber 202 heads, 10.25:1 compression, high volume oil pump, larger oil pan, 30-30 solid lifter cam (like 365 hp), dual quad Edlebrock induction, HEI distributor recurved to suit with Hooker headers and sidepipes. Classic Auto air conditioning was installed, and the upgrades include a large capacity copper radiator and a narrowed 1967 Camaro lower air dam. The interior is outfitted with Electric Life power windows, Leather Lexus power seats, Dakota Digital instruments, electric door pops, amp and subwoofers. The body modifications include blacked out chrome, shaved door handles and bumpers. The front fenders are 3" wider than stock, rear fenders are 3.5" wider, to accommodate wider Continental tires 245/45-ZR18 front and 275/45 ZR18, hand crafted shaved rear valance, custom offset American Racing torque thrust wheels. House of Kolors blended a custom body paint color fashioned after the color of true Guiness beer. Mahogany dash inserts, handmade header grills to match handmade radiator grill, daytime LED running lights/directionals in front, flush mounted custom LED tail lights. Keeping theft in mind a remote battery disconnect, with remote door openers, and low jack type tracking device were installed. This version of the Corvette was shown for 2 years. Then husband and wife hit the highway driving coast to coast for three weeks and logged over 10k miles!
