Proof that it doesn't matter what color your car is. As long as it makes you happy, then it is a true Vette. I like it too

"Out of all the Vettes I've seen on this site, mine is probably farthest from being a looker,"
I hardly think so... that brown color is an eye catcher

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
Thanks to all for the kind words! Every year I hope and pray that I will have the money it takes to keep the C3 in tip top shape. Every year it's something else. I love my Vette, driving it, shining it, being seen in it.
The only thing I wish for is a beginning mechanics class that deals strictly with the older engines so that I can do the less than major repairs myself. Maybe that way I could do 2 or 3 projects on her in a year.
As for the color, hell I love it! It is unique, at least in my area of the world...besides I have to have some kind of "hook" to make up for not having chrome bumpers!
This is the greatest web site I could have ever decided to become a part of. Adam and all the moderators are doing a great job.
Again, thanks to all, and we'll see you in the next online show!
