At the C5 Birthday Bash last April, I remember Dave Hill stating that after testing various types/brands of tires, they found that GY tires perform the best for the Corvette, and the C6 will come with GY tires, however, if I heard correctly, you will have your CHOICE of what GY tire for your C6.

Hope this helps.

I believe somebody on another site said they are sticking with the R/Fs, but they will not be as stiff or pound you to pieces like the current tires. Onward Technology!! |thumb|

Vette(s): None yet, right now I'm just a Vette-head.
From what I've heard and read the C6 will use run-flat tires. Run-flat tires are tires that can run without air pressure long enough for you to get a replacement rather than use a spare. They eliminate the need for a spare, but they also damper performance, cannot be repaired in most cases (forcing you to shell out the cash for a brand new one) and are more expensive. Personally, I prefer a small spare to a full spare or run flats, but thats just my oppinion. I think they're better beacuase they weigh less than a conventional spare and don't compromise ride quality and cost as much as run-flats.
