Additional Horsepower (400HP) is gain through the air intake and exhaust side of LS-2. Accomplish by a 30 percent cut in restriction on the LS-2 engine. The valves remain the same size as on the C-5, (respectful 2.0 for intake, 1.6 for exhaust). Most done with improve intake-manifold air flow and a hotter cam with greater lift. In regards with the exhaust side, system backpressure is down 10 percent and the spent gas now flows out through thin wall cast iron manifolds. (Source: Motor Trend by Wesley Allison)
