The runs good. But at red light , my take off is sluggish after I get going, I can feel power. Tried doing power breaking , car did not power break at all , could I have made something go bad , if so what. It does not miss at all, slower take off after intake gasket change. Used. Gas to clean parts/ intake.

Question: what could be the problem

1. put new intake gaskets on , seal it up good , no leaks but loss take off power, what wrong.!
2. no power

Vette(s): 1988 Convertable
There is just too many things that it could be from this very poor description of your problem; to give any kind of recommendation. What years is this car?

Maybe start with the basics. Have you checked the fuel pressure? Is there any codes being displayed or stored? How about the exhaust system, catalytic converters plugged?

Air and fuel, one or the other..since there is a mech link to the throttle body, shouldn't be air unless the filter or debris is blocking the inlet. That leaves fuel but surprising it's not stumbling from being lean? Just the same have you changed the fuel filter lately. You won't believe how they get blocked up. Be good to get a gauge on it and see where the pressure is in case the fuel pump is going down. Doesn't take much fuel to cruise but should carry on when you really stomp the throttle...good luck.
